Pre-Visualization
I've started on blocking two locations, the subway car and the rooftop scene.
I finished a floorplan for the house, as my original plans were very room-centric and I hadn't put much thought into the overall shape of the house. This floorplan makes a few minimal changes (the deletion of one window and the movement of the living room door).
Conjuring a house out of thin air is a bit difficult for me so this is loosely based on the three different apartments I've had in Savannah.
Here's the first pass at an animatic of Kafkaesque. The frames are drawn by Cailin & myself based on 3D blocking by Cailin, Ryan, and myself. The character was designed by Yeona.
I collected some references for the lighting of each scene.
I haven't had a lot of time the last week (big assignments for other classes), but I've been working on collecting prop reference and aggregating it on the Pinterest board for my modeling team.
I haven't had a lot of time to work the last few days because of my other class and my day job, but I drew up some sketches of variations on shots for the end of the short. I did it between customers, which is why it's on crumpled up receipts.
Here's the updated previsualization. The storyboard is replaced with the color script, the music is added to the video, and the FX tests and updated modelling are in here too.
